Fans of Lost Ruins of Arnak have one more trip into the jungle ahead of them. Czech Games Edition has revealed Surprise Shipment, billed as "the final addition" to the world of its 2020 hit, and it turns up at Gen Con 2026 before a wider retail release. If Arnak has been a mainstay of your shelf, this is the last new content the game will get, so it is worth knowing what is in the box.

Start organising for freeFor anyone who missed it, Lost Ruins of Arnak is a 1-4 player game that blends deck-building with worker placement. You sail to an uncharted island, spend your growing deck to explore sites, push two research tracks up a shared board and fight off ancient guardians for points. Designed by the CGE couple Michal "Elwen" Stach and Michaela "Min" Stachova, it won the 2021 Deutscher Spiele Preis and has been one of the most-played modern euros since launch, spawning several expansions and a dedicated Adventure Chest storage box.
Surprise Shipment is a smaller drop rather than a full campaign. It adds 50 new cards (30 artefacts and 20 items), two new sites and one rebalanced site, all of which slot neatly into last year's Adventure Chest. The setup is playful: a mysterious package with no sender arrives, you gear up with the new kit, and you head back out for one more expedition. It plays with the base game and, at roughly 30 minutes per player, keeps the same weight Arnak fans already know.

If it has been a while since Arnak hit your table, this is a good excuse to round up your group for a final dig through the ruins.
