If your group has been after a roleplaying game with actual bite, this one is worth a look. Renegade Game Studios and AMC Global Media are turning Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire into an official tabletop RPG, the first game in a wider Anne Rice's Immortal Universe line, and it is due to launch on BackerKit this autumn.

Start organising for freeThis is less about hurling fireballs and more about doomed, centuries-spanning relationships. Renegade says the game leans into memory, identity and emotional fallout rather than combat or political scheming, which suits Anne Rice's brooding vampires far better than a hit-point slugfest would. A Flashback System lets the table revisit moments from a character's past, from a quick scene to a whole session, and what you uncover back then can reshape the present. A collaborative Rewrite mechanic hands players narrative control of a scene alongside the storyteller. Instead of one health bar, characters track physical, psychological and emotional harm separately, and they recover by leaning into who they really are rather than simply resting up.
Renegade is a sensible home for this. The studio already publishes the World of Darkness tabletop line, including Vampire: The Masquerade, and handles official RPGs for Transformers, G.I. Joe and Power Rangers, so it knows both licensed properties and moody bloodsuckers. The first release is an Interview with the Vampire Starter Set alongside a New Orleans rulebook, with premium extras such as liquid-core dice, character journals and dice bags in the BackerKit campaign. Future supplements will branch into the rest of AMC's Immortal Universe, Mayfair Witches included, bringing witches and psychics into the mix.
Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.
See how it worksThe BackerKit page is live to follow now ahead of the autumn launch. With AMC's Interview with the Vampire keeping the source material firmly in the spotlight, the timing is smart, and a relationship-driven vampire RPG is a strong excuse to get the group together. If you need bodies around the table, find a game night near you.
