Enchanted Ivy is the value publisher's debut solo-only title, a cosy 15-minute puzzle about running a magical bed and breakfast, designed by newcomer Sarah Joshua.

Find events near youYou play as Ivy, the new owner of a bewitching inn, laying cards into a grid and assigning eccentric guests. Each guest has their own preferences, wanting to sit diagonally adjacent to another, or be surrounded, or share a row, and you score them at the end based on how cleverly you have arranged the place while cultivating the ivy creeping over your walls. It is part of Allplay's Small Box Big Game line, priced around 19 dollars for ages 10 and up, and it ships with a Story Mode: a storybook of chapters and challenges, with keepsake stickers and special balcony doors to unlock as you play through. Allplay, formerly Board Game Tables, has built a loyal following for high-quality, low-price reprints and small-box originals, and this is the first title it has designed from the ground up as a one-player experience.
A dedicated solo game from a value-first publisher is a rare thing, and a cosy puzzle you can finish in a quarter of an hour is an easy sell for a wind-down evening. Enchanted Ivy is due to reach tables later this year.
