Studio Midhall's final expansion for Beast has stormed past €170,000 on Gamefound, and there are only a few days left to grab it. Beast: Ashfall closes on 15 May after pulling in over 1,200 backers in its opening weeks, hitting funding in the first hour and now sitting at more than 17 times its original goal.

Set up your group for freeBeast, designed by brothers Aron and Elon Midhall, is a one-vs-many hidden movement game for 2 to 4 players, running 60 to 120 minutes. One player takes the role of a giant godlike beast and the rest hunt it through forests, swamps and caverns. The beast scribbles a secret movement deck behind a screen while the hunters track footprints, snares and dropped clues. The cat-and-mouse rhythm takes a couple of rounds to click, but it pays off once the trap closes. The original sits at 7.7 average user score on BoardGameGeek and finished a multi-million-euro Gamefound campaign of its own back in 2022.
Ashfall is billed as the closing chapter, and it brings boats and hidden paths to reshape how movement plays out on the map. There are three new hunters with their own gimmicks and three new beasts, headlined by Rhagner the dragon. Rhagner hoards grudges the way Smaug hoarded coin, and the more he stockpiles the meaner his abilities become, complete with a giant miniature that should look great on the table. There are fire tokens and barriers that change the board mid-game, plus the resurrection-themed Draug and a pair of summon-focused beasts called Lydan and Yeltr.
