Batman: Gotham City Crimes Is a Co-Op Detective Game

Fancy a game night where your whole group pulls on the cowl? KOSMOS has revealed Batman: Gotham City Crimes, a cooperative adventure game that sends two to four players prowling Gotham as Batman, Batgirl, Batwoman and Nightwing. You investigate locations, gather clues and track down supervillains as a team, with the story unfolding chapter by chapter across an open board you are free to roam.

Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.

The detail worth circling is the designer. Batman: Gotham City Crimes comes from Michael Menzel, the illustrator and designer behind Legends of Andor, the cooperative fantasy adventure that won the Kennerspiel des Jahres in 2013. Menzel has spent years as one of the hobby's most recognisable artists, and Andor earned its reputation on storytelling that drip-feeds new twists as you play rather than dumping everything in a rulebook. Gotham City Crimes looks set to lean on the same instinct, with a case that reveals itself as the heroes explore the city.

Co-operative narrative games like this tend to shine with a settled group who can pick up where they left off, so it is one to earmark if you run a regular session. Sort out who is playing and you have a campaign-shaped reason to get the group together.

KOSMOS has Batman: Gotham City Crimes down for release on 19 October 2026 as part of its autumn line-up. It is confirmed for the German market so far, with an English edition not yet announced, though KOSMOS titles, Legends of Andor included, have a strong record of crossing the Channel.
