Tag Team: Arthur's Legacy Brings Camelot to the Arena

Camelot is not usually where you go looking for a scrap, but Tag Team: Arthur's Legacy is happy to change that. Le Scorpion Masqué's two-player brawler is back this September with a standalone box that drags King Arthur's court into the fighting arena, and the roster is a proper who's who of British legend: Morgan, Merlin, Perceval, the Green Knight, a fire-breathing Dragon and, yes, Excalibur itself.

See how it works

Tag Team is Le Scorpion Masqué's two-player series of arcade-style brawlers, a cross between a tactical auto-battler and a deckbuilder where each small box adds a new set of Fighters. Every Fighter has their own moves, and the twist is that you build up a line-up of cards but cannot reshuffle the order once they are set, so a bout plays out from the programme you have laid down. It rewards planning ahead and reading your opponent rather than twitchy reflexes, which makes for a satisfying little duel.

Arthur's Legacy is a fully standalone game, so you do not need the original Tag Team to jump in, and its six new Fighters mix in with every other box in the range if you already own them. That pick-and-mix approach has been the series' calling card, letting you build dream match-ups across sets.

There is a neat home angle here too. Le Scorpion Masqué's games reach UK shelves through Hachette Boardgames UK, so Arthur's Legacy should not be hard to track down when it arrives in September 2026. If you fancy a quick, mean two-player game to settle scores at the table, this is one to watch. All you need is a willing challenger, so see who is up for a game night near you.
