Stardew Valley Joins Magic in a Cosy Secret Lair Drop

The cosiest farm in gaming is about to grow mana. Wizards of the Coast has revealed Secret Lair x Stardew Valley, a run of limited Magic: The Gathering cards that drops on 27 July 2026 and turns Pelican Town, the mines and the whole comforting routine of ConcernedApe's farming sim into Magic art. If you play Commander and you have ever lost a weekend to fishing and cave-diving, this one is aimed squarely at you.

The drop, officially the Superdrop of the Moonlight Jellies, splits into three sets: Welcome to Stardew Valley, Life in Pelican Town, and A Flicker in the Deep. Non-foil versions land at around £24 to £31 ($29.99 to $39.99), with foils a little dearer, while a full "Grandpa Would Be Proud" bundle of all six editions runs roughly £173 ($219.99). Leading the harvest is a brand-new card simply called Stardew Valley, a land legal in Commander, Legacy and Vintage that makes a little mana and a little Food, with art by Stardew creator ConcernedApe himself.

It is part of a stacked reveal from MagicCon: Amsterdam, where Wizards also unveiled a surprise Hatsune Miku Commander deck, roping the Vocaloid pop star into Magic alongside other crossovers. Secret Lair drops are print-to-order and only around for a limited window, and cosy crossovers like this one tend to sell briskly, so collectors will not want to dawdle.

Secret Lairs are mail-order rather than a set you draft, but a new Universes Beyond crossover is always a good excuse to get the Commander pod together. If you have been meaning to start a regular Magic night, find some players near you.
