Star Wars Unlimited Icons Is the Easiest Way In Yet

Star Wars: Unlimited is getting a proper front door. Fantasy Flight Games has revealed Icons, a streamlined 194-card set built to get newcomers into the hit Star Wars card game without burying them in rules, and it lands on 20 November 2026.

Stop juggling Meetup, WhatsApp, and spreadsheets. One platform for your gaming group's events, RSVPs, and member management.

See how it works

For the uninitiated, Star Wars: Unlimited is the card game where you pick a Leader and duel for control of the galaxy, playable head-to-head or, since the Twin Suns format arrived, in multiplayer. Standard sets run past 250 cards. Icons trims that to 194 and, importantly, does not introduce any new set-specific mechanics players have to learn first. Every common is a reprint from earlier sets, some with fresh artwork, so this set is about being accessible and affordable rather than chasing the competitive meta.

There is still new cardboard for existing fans. Icons brings eight all-new Leaders, including Darth Vader in Vigilance and Villainy and Leia Organa in Cunning and Heroism. The headline chase card is a Legendary Anakin Skywalker that searches your deck for a Darth Vader card when he is defeated, a tidy bit of tragic flavour. Rares include Darth Sidious, Lando Calrissian and the Millennium Falcon.

For organisers and game cafes, this is the on-ramp the game has needed. A cheaper, simpler box full of recognisable faces is exactly what you want when teaching a new table. If you fancy bringing some friends into the galaxy, set up a learn-to-play night once it lands this November.
