It has taken eleven sets, over a billion cards sold, and two-and-a-half years of "but when is Buzz coming?" — and the answer is finally here. Disney Lorcana: Wilds Unknown, the twelfth set for Ravensburger's runaway hit trading card game, will introduce Pixar characters for the very first time when it launches in May 2026.
Woody and Buzz Lightyear take centre stage in the set's key art, and they are not alone. Mrs Incredible and Jack-Jack from The Incredibles plus Merida from Brave are confirmed, with Toy Story's villain Sid also making an appearance. The set leans into themes of exploration and survival, taking players into new Lorcana regions including the jungle-esque Wilderknot, Torchlight Peaks, and The Great Empty Sea.
Perhaps the most exciting product announcement is Lorcana's first-ever 2-Player Starter Set, featuring Mrs Incredible and Buzz Lightyear heading up pre-built decks designed for immediate head-to-head play. It is a smart move from Ravensburger — getting a friend into Lorcana has always meant buying two separate starter decks, and this removes that friction entirely.
Lorcana's journey since its August 2023 launch has been remarkable. The game smashed past a billion cards sold within its first eighteen months, making it the most successful product launch in Ravensburger's 143-year history. While sales normalised in 2025 as speculator interest faded, Ravensburger reported that late-2025 sets sold out and the active player base continues to grow, highlighted by a 2,000-player tournament in Richmond, Virginia, just weeks into 2026.
Pre-release events for Wilds Unknown begin 8 May at local game stores, with the full retail launch following on 15 May. And the Pixar parade does not stop here — Monsters, Inc. arrives in Set 13 (Attack of the Vines) later this summer.
