Para Bellum Hides Eight Mystery Gnome Warlords for Conquest

Something is rustling in Para Bellum's warehouse and it has tiny pointy hats. The Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings publisher has confirmed Series 2 of its Mystery Gnome packs lands on 29 May 2026, with eight unique resin gnome warlords to chase across four of the game's warring factions.

Each blind pack contains one unpainted, limited-edition gnome from Old Dominion, Dweghom, Nords or W'adrhun, two designs per faction. They are not just shelf candy either, since Para Bellum has made them legal stand-ins for Warlord characters during play. So if you fancy fielding a goblin-sized Dweghom commander leading several feet of armoured infantry, the rules say go ahead.

The hook this time is a rare "red" variant. Pull one and the box serial number plus a photo emailed back to Para Bellum gets you a bounty reward, which is a nice nod to the lottery-ticket energy of blind packs without leaning on chase rarities that gatekeep your army list.

See how it works

Conquest itself enjoys a small but devoted BoardGameGeek following, with rules written by Alessio Cavatore's River Horse studio (Warhammer, Bolt Action). The game has built a quiet UK presence as a mass-battle alternative to the bigger plastic factories, and Para Bellum has steadily expanded its starter sets through 2026.

Once they sell out, that is it. No reprints. Whether that is a clever bit of fan service or another reason to be tactical about which blind packs you actually buy is up to you, but if you collect any of the four factions, this is the rare chance to add a one-of-a-kind warlord without painting a conversion from scratch.
