Monopoly F1 Edition Races Onto Pre-Order Ahead of July Launch

Hasbro and Formula 1 have unveiled Monopoly F1 Edition, and it isn't just Monopoly with a paint job. Announced on 20 May with pre-orders open the same day, the new edition swaps property deeds for the 24 circuits of the current F1 calendar and turns the centre of the board into a Grand Prix race track. The full launch is set for 15 July 2026.

See how it works

This is a proper rules overhaul, not a reskin. You pick one of the 11 current F1 teams and race a helmet token around an inner Grand Prix loop while the outer ring still works like Monopoly. There are now two ways to win: the first player to complete the central race takes the Drivers' Championship, and whoever finishes with the most money grabs the Constructors' Championship. New mechanics include DRS activation, pole position bonuses, pit stops, and dice battles when two cars land on the same race, Bleeding Cool reports. McLaren, Ferrari and the rest of the grid are all represented, with 11 zinc car tokens and 11 moulded helmets in the box.

Hasbro's Billy Lagor said the team had "reimagined the classic Monopoly experience through the lens of F1". The age recommendation is 8+, per Toy Book, which means it's squarely aimed at families rather than the hardcore Brass: Birmingham crowd, though anyone who has watched the British Grand Prix at Silverstone shouting at the telly will probably find a way in. US pre-orders are listed at $24.99 on Walmart; UK retailer pricing has not been confirmed.
