If you have ever stared at a stunning Full Art Pokémon card and thought "I could build that," LEGO and The Pokémon Company are calling your bluff. Their Build Your Card challenge invites fans to construct a Pokémon TCG card entirely from LEGO bricks, and the winning entry will become an official LEGO set.
The rules are specific but leave plenty of creative room. Your build must feature exactly one Pokémon from a curated list of 30, including fan favourites like Gengar, Dragonite, Mewtwo, Gyarados, and Jigglypuff. The card frame needs to hit precise dimensions (30cm tall by 21.5cm wide), use between 400 and 2,500 pieces, and present the Pokémon's face clearly in the upper half. No minifigures allowed, and the design must be original rather than a recreation of an existing card.
The submission deadline is May 6, after which a review board will shortlist up to five builds for a public fan vote running May 28 through June 11. The grand prize winner receives compensation, credit on the finished product, and ten copies of their design when it ships as a real LEGO set.
For the tabletop community, this is a fun collision of two massive hobbies. Whether you are a builder, a collector, or just here to admire other people's work, keep May 6 in mind.
