Halo: Campaign Evolved Becomes a Board Game From Mantic

Master Chief is marching onto the tabletop. With the Halo: Campaign Evolved video game remaster due on 28 July 2026, British studio Mantic Games has confirmed a board game of the same name, built around the Chief's original 2001 campaign and playable solo or with a second player.

Mantic is not new to Halo. The Nottingham-based studio already makes Halo: Flashpoint, its tactical Halo miniatures skirmish game, and Halo: Campaign Evolved comes from the same team. Where Flashpoint is a competitive tabletop wargame, this new box leans into the campaign itself, an action board game for 1-2 players (ages 13+) that puts you in Master Chief's boots against the Covenant. Mantic being a miniatures firm at heart, expect a proper plastic Master Chief in the box rather than a cardboard standee.

"Created in partnership with Halo Studios, Halo: Campaign Evolved - The Board Game is an action-packed board game built around Master Chief's iconic adventure," Mantic said in its announcement, adding that it sits alongside the studio's ongoing Halo: Flashpoint releases.

Details are still thin. Mantic has confirmed the 1-2 player count, the age rating and a Q4 2026 release, but there is no price yet, and it is holding back how the game actually plays until closer to launch, likely around the video game's late-July debut. For anyone who grew up assaulting the Silent Cartographer, a board game version arriving the same year as the remaster is a neat bit of timing.

If the remaster gets you in the mood for some Warthog runs, it is a good excuse to get the group round a table. Line up a games night and see who's free near you.
