Elden Ring: Rot & Sorcery Brings Two New Regions to the Table

Steamforged Games is heading back to the Lands Between. The Manchester-based studio, known for its Dark Souls, Monster Hunter World, and Resident Evil board game adaptations, has launched Elden Ring: Rot & Sorcery on Gamefound. It's a standalone cooperative adventure where 1 to 4 players explore regions, fight bosses, and level up characters across multi-session campaigns, using the series' distinctive diceless combat system.

The campaign introduces two new core boxes. Machinations of the Witch takes players into the eerie lakes of Liurnia, where Ranni the Witch pulls the strings and the sorcerer-queen Rennala guards the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Dominion of Rot plunges into Caelid, the blighted region where the Scarlet Rot has twisted the landscape and its inhabitants into something deeply unnatural. Both are fully playable on their own with no previous Elden Ring board game content required.

Steamforged has a strong track record here. Its original Elden Ring Kickstarter in 2022 raised nearly £3.3 million from almost 14,000 backers, and the game won praise for capturing the careful, punishing rhythm of the FromSoftware original. The Realm of the Grafted King, Weeping Peninsula, and Stormveil Castle sets have all reached retail, giving the series a solid foundation to build on.

Over 17,000 followers have gathered on the Rot & Sorcery campaign page. Both new boxes are cross-compatible with existing content, and fans who missed the original Kickstarter can pick up those sets at a crowdfunding discount. New enemies, NPCs, and weapons will unlock as the campaign progresses, culminating in a face-off against the fan-favourite Starscourge Radahn.

If you've been waiting for the right moment to enter the Lands Between on your tabletop, this might be it.
