Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game Arrives at Retail This Spring

The Cyberpunk 2077 board game from Go On Board is finally making its way to retail after a blockbuster Gamefound campaign that raised over $7.6 million from more than 22,000 backers. The cooperative tactical campaign game for 1-4 players is expected to hit store shelves in Q2 2026, following backer shipments that began earlier this year.

Developed in close collaboration with CD Projekt Red, the game plays as a miniature-heavy, branching narrative adventure in the vein of Gloomhaven or Sleeping Gods. Players take on the roles of V, Panam, Jackie, or Judy, moving through modular board tiles, making story decisions that shape the campaign, and levelling up their characters across sessions. The standard retail edition of the base game starts at $79.

This is a separate game from CMON's Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City, which released in 2024 as a competitive gang territory game. Go On Board's version is fully cooperative and narrative-driven, with four expansions already announced covering Johnny Silverhand, the Edgerunners anime crew, Trauma Team, and the Phantom Liberty storyline.

Specific retail partners haven't been confirmed yet, but if the Q2 timeline holds, this will be one of the biggest crowdfunded board games to reach store shelves in 2026. For anyone who missed the campaign, this is your chance to pick it up without trawling the secondary market.
