Button Shy Bundles Four Micro Games in Spring 2026 Wallet Drop

Button Shy has cracked open another wallet, and four new micro games are inside. The publisher's Spring 2026 Wallet Games Kickstarter bundles Astro ROVE, Jarl, Everything Machine and Shaper for pledges starting at $15, with the campaign already funded and closing on Saturday 9 May.

Astro ROVE is the flagship. It's a solo 20-minute spatial puzzler that takes designer Jason Tagmire's ROVE series of robot exploration games into space, with all-new module-shifting twists for ages 14 and up. Jarl is a Viking civilisation builder by Joe Klipfel about turning resources into a thriving people. The other two come from Button Shy's 9 Cards Per Game design challenge: Everything Machine by Connor Wielgosz won the contest, and Shaper by Mark Tuck (a co-operative picture-making game) was a finalist. Tagmire reprints favourites alongside the new collection, which is the standard Button Shy pattern.

The whole point of these games is the format. Each one fits in a vinyl wallet roughly the size of a passport, with no more than 18 cards inside, and they're built to be pulled out at a pub, on a train, or while you're waiting for the heavy box to finish setting up. Sprawlopolis, the publisher's breakout hit, has been a solo-gaming darling for years and proves that 18 cards can deliver a proper game.

Button Shy's Spring drop is part of Kickstarter's Micro May Open Call, which the platform reports has quadrupled in participation since 2024 and sees 84% of its projects fund. If you fancy something compact for your bag, the all-in pledge gets you four new games and a few bonus reprints for less than the cost of a single big-box release. Backers should expect delivery later in the year via the publisher's usual fulfilment partners.
